Cap (Crown) Cutting
This is the process where the dentist prepares (or "cuts") the affected tooth by:
Removing decayed or damaged portions
Shaping the tooth to properly fit a dental crown
Sometimes performing root canal treatment before crown placement (if needed)
2. Cap (Crown) Fixation
This is the placement and securing of the crown over the prepared tooth:
A temporary crown may be used first while a permanent one is made
Once ready, the permanent crown (metal, porcelain, ceramic, or zirconia) is fixed using dental cement
